The Government publish text of Bill on minimum service levels

The Government have published the long anticipated Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill. Grant Shapps, the Business Secretary, published the Bill, with the longer title, ‘A Bill to make provision about minimum service levels in connection with the taking by trade unions of strike action relating to certain services’.
Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill
This is a public bill presented to Parliament by the Government.
The Bill was introduced to the House of Commons and given its First Reading on Tuesday 10 January 2023. This stage is formal and takes place without any debate.
What happens next?
MPs will next consider the Bill at Second Reading. The date for second reading has not yet been announced.
