The Institute of Employment Rights has collaborated with the Forced Labour Monitoring Group (FLMG) to host a conference on Labour Exploitation and Modern Slavery.

On 30 June, Director of the IER Carolyn Jones will chair a discussion at the event regarding the labour movement’s action on exploitation. She will be joined on the platform by Diana Holland, Assistant General Secretary of UNITE the Union; Greg Thomson, Head of Strategic Organising at UNISON; and Sean Bamford of the TUC.

The seminar, which will be co-chaired by Alex Balch and Gary Craig of FLMG and the Modern Slavery Research Consortium, will also feature a discussion on a new framework for tackling labour exploitation, and a roundtable on political and civil society responses to the issue.

The event will be held at the TUC, Congress House, 23 Great Russell Street, London between 10:30 and 16:00. To enquire about registration, please contact Gary Craig
