Organise Now! the trade union organising project, has launched the first-ever “automated large language model bot” developed by Bombe to help workers start organising a union at their workplace.

This bot is a digital version of the BFAWU general secretary, Sarah Woolley, and is trained to provide users with information to help organise around workplace issues 24/7.
The organising chatbot is accessible on the Organise Now! website and the NUS’s student campaign website as a way of engaging younger workers and students to learn about unions, join them, and get active.

As Mick Whelan, ASLEF general secretary, has said:

“We should not be leaving the AI and tech revolution to the employers, but instead embracing it to build the workers movements, we would urge other trade unions to support Organise Now! as we do.”
