About the event
After nearly 15 years of continued vandalism to UK labour law and enforcement, the current moment presents positive opportunities for the labour movement. Labour is preparing legislation for its ‘Making Work Pay’ policy (AKA the New Deal for Workers) to be enacted in its first 100 days in office – something to be welcomed but kept under healthy scrutiny.
Come to the IER & CTUF fringe to join our experts for a closer look at what the Employment Rights Bill is likely to include, as well as why those elements still missing from the original New Deal document are key to creating a framework of labour law fit for the 21st century.
***Refreshments will be provided.***
At the end of our event (8:15pm) our event will dove-tail in to the GFTU social event, where there will be nice food and live entertainment.
