Resisting threats to collective bargaining in the Fire and Rescue Service
Attending Fire Brigades Union conference this week in Brighton? Then come to our event on Wednesday, at 13:00 in the Charlotte Room at the Grand Hotel
About the meeting
After Government threats to merge the governance of fire with policing, to introduce so called ‘operational independence for Cheif Fire Officers and to “consider the need for an independent pay review body and the future of the grey book”, the FBU approached the Institute of Employment Rights to write an authoritative report on the potential legality of such threats.
Hear from the author of the report as to how these kind of attacks on collective bargaining could be resisted, and pick up a copy of the full publication.
Speakers
Daniel Blackburn from The International Centre for Trade Union Rights, Matt Wrack from the Fire Brigades Union and Ben Sellers in the Chair from the Institute of Employment Rights.
Location
The Charlotte Room, The Grand Hotel, Brighton.
