Tony Burke calls on Labour Party Conference to support IER Manifesto

Assistant General Secretary of UNITE Tony Burke called on Labour Party members to support the Institute of Employment Rights’ Manifesto for Labour Law at the Labour Party Conference this morning.

He said: “With the change in direction of the Labour Party we have an opportunity in moving beyond the call for repeal of anti union laws, we need to draw up a new framework of trade union rights and I want to commend the work of the Institute of Employment Rights in being a steadfast supporter of our unions and for producing this excellent Manifesto for a positive reform of employment rights.”
