Len McCluskey, Professor Keith Ewing and John Hendy QC will discuss how much further union action can legally go in opposing the government’s austerity cuts at this year’s TUC Conference.

In Days of Action, an employment law book authored by Professor Ewing and Mr Hendy, the legal experts show how the UK is in contravention of the European Convention on Human Rights in its restrictions on the right to strike.

Ahead of the mass demonstration of 20 October 2012, UNITE General Secretary Len McCluskey will join Ewing and Hendy – President and Chairman of the IER respectively – to examine what options are available to trade unions in their continued fight against the Coalition’s cuts.

They will speak at The Old Ship Hotel, Kings Road in Brighton on Sunday 9 September from 07:00pm.
